my doctor's handout at 9 months warned us this may happen. we aren't there yet. doc said to keep trying--also they said to feed him 4 times a day

just keep offering healthy foods. if they are hungry enough they will eat it. if you give snacks, they quickly learn not to eat until you give them snacks -- they're smart! pickiness is a toddler phase that almost every kid goes through.

i know it's tough when it seems like they're not eating a lot, but look at what they eat over the course of a whole week rather than at one meal. that really helped me stress less!

My 11 month old is going through the spit out food stage. Ugh He used to be such a good eater too! I'm hoping this stage will pass!

LO went through that, too! I think it's a stage, but I don't even know what to call it. The Annoying Stage? Like @chopsuey119 said, it comes and goes.

Omg I hate that stage..
My daughter went through the scraping tongue stage.
And the spitting out stage.
She actually still spits food out, but shes learned NOT to spit it out on the table or on the floor. :P
At almost 2 years old the pickiness still comes and goes.. Today she ate like a freaking champ.

My 11.5 month old used to be a great eater. She loved her veggies and fruits. She never used to spit out food. Then a few days ago, she started spitting food out as soon as she put it in her mouth. Today, she started scraping food off her tongue with her hands!!

She's rejected: peas, broccoli, pears, grapes...and some days she'll devour one thing and spit it out on other days.

I am stressed, ladies. I really don't want to only give her carbs, and i don't want to resort to adding extra salt and sugar so she'll eat something.
