Do you have Kindermusik? We really enjoy that. Our baby gym is sooo expensive!

Is there a JCC near you? There are two near us and they have tons of toddler classes from music to swim to gymnastics.

Music classes and swim classes have seemed to me to be most willing to take younger kids- lots of dance studios and gymnastics programs won't start till age 2.5 or 3 but it's worth looking around. Some yoga studios have mom/kid yoga that is toddler-friendly.

They closed our Gymboree too!
There's a tumble tots but the youngest is 18 months, so we're going to pick up a summer session.

They have gymnastics for 2 year olds at daycare and DD has always loved it. I think that is a perfect replacement for Gymboree. We also have memberships to the children's museum, Lego Land and the zoo.

Oh bummer about it closing! We go to Gymboree as well. What about a membership to a children's museum, mommy and me swimming, toddler gymnastics, maybe an art class nearby for toddlers. The library is a good idea. Maybe look for a play group in your area?

I second a gymnastics class, they even have one here that is a gymnastics and dance combination class. I have found that ballet studios want kids to be three for dance class but it really depends on the studio so it is worth calling around.

What about a membership to a children's museum? They are always filled with kids and usually have different art projects and other fun things if you want something that doesn't have a strict schedule.

My mom got LO Gymboree for Chanukah so we've been going since December and LO loves it. She's very shy and pretty antisocial, and while she still doesn't really interact with the kids I love that she's around them and she love love loves all of the climbing, jumping, sliding, etc that she can do there. But they're closing my site and the closest one is too far away for us to go to, so sadly I had to cancel our membership.

What weekly activities does your toddler do that they love? There is a library class that day that we could go to, but we already go to the library twice a week so I was hoping to do something different. She'll be two soon.... is that too early to start a dance class?
