@T.H.O.U.: His fever is gone and he isn't throwing up. He still is having tummy troubles and using the bathroom a lot. Hopefully, it'll pass soon. Thankfully, DS and I have seemed to avoid it.

Had my first been born a day or two earlier I would've had to drive myself to the hospital. DH had a stomach bug and was soooo weak on his legs. Luckily he was fine the next day and we just made sure to use lots of disinfectant at home.

If he is still sick come tomorrow I'd call your OB and ask whether you can reschedule.

Sounds like norovirus. My husband had it this past month and I'm 6 months pregnant. He was okay within 3 days and I was able to avoid it. Stay away from him, don't share any drink or food with him, use separate bathrooms, and make him Lysol EVERYTHING in the house.

Hopefully it's a quick bug. Quarantine him! I feel your pain. I had bronchitis and a sinus infection three days before my schedule induction and I was freaking out. Antibiotics got it under control just in time and I was ok. Didn't even notice being sick while in labor and postpartum.

He should be fine by Thurs. Those stomach bugs don't last too long usually. Just do everything you can to avoid getting it. If you don't have a fever they probably won't postpone it, but the last thing you need is to be heaving when you have a new incision. I was getting over a bad cold when I had my RCS and the coughing was the worst! Good luck and hopefully you'll all be healthy in time for Thurs!

My DH and LO1 both got what we think was norovirus the week after LO2 was born. I had to take care of both of them plus the newborn as I recovered from my RCS!

That said, if there is anyone who can over and bleach every surface in your house and wash/lysol everything else, I would do it. You probably are way too exhausted for that and should probably rest up (and not breathe all the chemicals) but dealing with it afterwards will be so much worse :(

Flu does cause fever but shouldn't cause vomiting or diarrhea. Hopefully it's just a 24-hr stomach bug - I bet he's fine (if tired/weak) for your LO's birth. Could you have someone come by to scrub your house really well either beforehand or while you are in the hospital? I'd hate for you or new baby to be exposed to his germs - stomach bugs like norovirus tend to really stick around!

As far as I know, though - if you get sick it shouldn't affect the pregnancy as long as you stay hydrated. Sorry you're dealing with this!

Oh no. Maybe call and talk to a primary about getting him tested for the flu so he could start that med if necessary. I mean hopefully its just a 24 hour bug!

My husband is currently throwing up, has the poops, and a fever. I'm having a RCS on Thursday (I'll be 39 week).

Will he be able to go into the OR with me? Should I call my OB? If I get sick, what does that mean for the baby? I'm freaking out, any advice?
