Mine were the same! I went to a breastfeeding class and the instructor said usually one is the "stud" and one is the "dud" so I guess it's pretty common!

Wow - I'm so glad to know there are other women with the same issue as me! My left doesn't produce nearly as much as my right. I've been trying to pump and have DD nurse more on the left side to get the supply up but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I had the same problem and tried so hard to get the other one not to be "lazy". I pumped that one more, always tried to nurse that side more but to no avail.

Hahaha, I'm honestly relieved that other women have similar issues! I wish there was something we could do about it.

Oh my gosh I've totally been thinking that this might happen to me, too! My right side seems SO much smaller than my left.

That's so funny. I've been thinking that my baby doesn't like Lefty as much! I'm only on day 5, so I can't really tell about production though. My left is smaller and perkier and I've always liked it better for that reason. I always thought of it as my "good" boob, but Rightie seems to be winning at nursing.

Me too and it's my left side that produces less. It hasn't been a problem (11 months in), it just drives me crazy!

Yup, me too. Leftie has always been a bit smaller, and when nursing DS1, it definitely produced less. With DS2, still the same thing, but my right seems to make up for it, with overproduction! You should see me when I wake up in the morning - it looks like I have a basketball on my right side, and a tennis ball on my left!

@Mrs.Wagon- isn't it so annoying?! Ugh.

@mrsjyw- hi friend :) You may not have the same fate, don't stress it. And, even if this were to happen, you'll still have enough milk for your babes. My LO is 6 months old and she's been able to thrive just fine!

@BabyLove: seriously friend you just made me LOL. this is my worst fear! My left one is my smaller with a not so perky nip! I'm afraid that this will be my lazy boob when it comes to breastfeeding! LOL

Mine are the same way!!! My left side got all kinds of clogs and stuff too. Right side never had a problem. Pumping I'd always produce 2 or 3 oz less on the left side than the right. I ended up always starting on the left side for nursing to really make sure it was empty, but they never evened out.

Lol. Anyone else have this issue? My left breast produces about a little less than half of the amount the right one does (I just got finished pumping at work so this is on my mind). It also happens to be the one that's always been smaller, prior to pregnancy.
What's that about?!? Is there anyway to try to get it on the same page with my right side?
