I think DS hates the restriction of the high chair so he loses interest in food fast and begins to throw it, but he's so independent/messy I don't want him to eat anywhere else. Ugh, such a bummer to see all that good food go to the dogs :(

Eta - DS is just 10 months so I've been ignoring it - thinking that if I bring attention to it it might become a game.

Mine just started doing this. She also does the scraping thing like @Freckles: , and she will often sit with her tongue sticking out until we remove the food from it... Drama queen?

Welcome to the club! Mine scraped the food out of her mouth with her fingers...like she had to get the last bits out because she felt it was gross.

I am not in a good mood today!

Yeah. I totally get it. DD has started becoming really opinionated about everything. I make her an awsome dinner, and all she wants to do is swat at it, and throw it on the floor. Toddlerhood has officially arrived!

DS does the same! So frustrating

I have to think he's just not hungry. He doesn't cry or care for anything during these times. I'll offer him other things as well. He basically skipped dinner tonight but did have a HUGE lunch. I'm probably no help, haha, I'm just as puzzled!

We made an amazing dinner tonight and I was so excited to feed it to her.
Lemon pepper marinated salmon.
Sauteed asparagus with garlic.
Steamed broccoli.
Baked sweet potatoes with butter and parmesan/reggiano cheese.
I thought she would LOVE IT!!
Instead, she threw it all on the ground and the only thing she would eat were mandarin oranges. I know she was hungry....how can a baby become picky overnight? I'm kind of offended!!
