Breastfeeding is so weird. I weaned why my son was 1 and like a year later I was really stressed (he was super sick) and suddenly I let down. I then read you can have milk for YEARS. It probably didn't come in again - was always there and the hormones made you let down.

So exciting about the bottles, though!

That is crazy! I wonder if there was a spike in your Prolactin level for some reason and your body began secondary production? Also, congratulations on your LO and on the transition to bottle feeding (* I know how rough that is!)

I EPed for DS for birth to eight weeks due to him being a tubie. After he came home from the hospital I weaned and was completely dried up in two weeks.

We got the go ahead last week to start giving DS a bottle or two a week since what was believed to cause his aspiration has healed. After a few days of that we now need him with bottles at home and his tube at daycare (since we know how to spot his aspiration).

DS is 23 weeks today and while getting changed this morning I felt a sensation like a letdown. My left boob was dripping! How weird is that??? Feeding him by bottle must have done something to signal my body to make milk again.
