@matador84: Yes, I think she got bigger and was able to handle the flow better? Good luck!

@matador84: I have also read that some mamas lean back when they are nursing to help LO with the let down . . . here are a few suggestions from Kelly Mom, too:

http://kellymom.com/bf/got-milk/supply-worries/fast-letdown/

@MsLipGloss: I've been trying to be really diligent about sitting her up, burping her in between. It's weird though, the majoring of the time it's close to right after the initial latch she starts to choke and vomit.

@autumnlove: I've actually been pumping before nursing to help slow my let down. Did your lo just stop on their own?

@matador84: sounds like you have a fast let down and DD cant swallow fast enough - you could try to pump 1st and let down in a towel then feed DD

I had a barfer for six ish weeks...3-4 times a day. I think I was pumping too much after nursing so I cut back a few sessions and things improved.

If her latch is okay, have you tried to time her feeds so that she feeds from one side for few minutes, sit her up during the transition to the other side, and then let her feed for a few minutes from the other side (and repeat if necessary)?

When I nurse her. I brought up with our pedi at her two week appt she kept choking and gagging when is nurse her. Not all the time, but enough where it would freak me out. She told me to pump a little before nursing, which I've been doing. Dd has probably now thrown up 8 times because she's now choking so bad it forces everything in her stomach up.

Has anyone dealt with something similar? I wasn't freaked out but I'm getting concerned!
