DD was the same way! That's one of the reasons why we ended up co-sleeping. But now at 10 months, she's not so picky, thank goodness! I remember looking up memory foam toppers for her crib. I'm glad I waited because she sleeps just fine now.

It figures since The Princess and The Pea has always been one of my favorite stories, my own lil K is quite the princess! We were OOT this weekend and just brought her bassinet since last trip she refused to sleep in the travel crib. Saturday night she was sooo fussy! Would wake up every 1/2-1 hour! We put the bassinet in between us on the bed like a co-sleeper. Finally around 5 am, I set her down on the bed on top of the down comforter and silk blanket for a second to change and Bam! She's asleep! It's not the first time she's fallen asleep on the bed on top of all the blankets. I think she really loves a fluffy, soft bed! Soft sofas too! Can't blame her- her mama feels the same way! So I do the unthinkable... Fold up the silk blanket and put it in her bassinet and put her back in it. She sleeps for over 3 hrs! Of course I'm paranoid and keep checking on her and pulling the blanket away from her face. She keeps turning to rub her cheeks against it!
Last night we just forgo the bassinet entirely and double up the blanket and let her sleep on top of it in between us. "Princess K" slept, get this, 9.5 hours!!!! Record by far! Again, I'm checking on her and the blanket all night. She's swaddled but lives to turn her head and rub her cheeks on the blanket.
I forgot which thread we talked about mattress toppers, but I think I'm going to need one ASAP for this lil princess!

Anyone else's babies really prefer sleeping on a cushy soft bed?
