Wait a few hours for the swelling to go down, and stop pulling on it. (Each time you try, your finger swells more in response.) People are sometimes more puffy at the beginning of the day, and others are more puffy at the end of the day. Whenver you are least puffy, put your hand in a bowl of ice water for as long as you can stand it. Then, put oil or crisco on your finger and try to pull it off. I've also heard the dental floss trick-- but be careful! You can get it too tight!

If not, call your jeweler tomorrow. They can, as a last resort, cut it off!

I've heard that you can wrap your finger with ribbon or dental floss (really tightly) and slide your ring off. Try google for some solutions.

agree with the above posts. run your hands in cold water to help swelling go down. then use soap or something to make it slippery so the ring would slip off.

good luck!

Agree with the others. Put your hand in a bucket of ice and stay in there as long as you can stand it. Then try a little crisco.

I agree with chopsuey119, being cold will help. Run your hands under cold water, it will make the swelling come down. Try some vaseline or crisco. Leave it alone for awhile before trying, because pulling on it and messing with it probably increased your swelling.

My fingers get thinner when my hands are cold.
Try running your hands under cold water and let the swelling come down a bit.

We had our newborn photoshoot today and I wore my wedding ring for the first time in 2 months. It went on easily but now it is stuck on my finger. My finger is pretty swollen and I have tried baby oil, Windex, soap, lotion... Any suggestions?!
