He started out saying dada then learned how to say mama and has never looked back. I say mama a lot to him when I talk to him. I will say "mama loves you" or just narrate something and refer to myself in third person. Sometimes I just say "can you say mama?" to him over and over again. E is a total momma's girl and I do love it!! She's not clingy, which is nice, but she has a clear and definite preference for mummy. I feel bad sometimes when DH just wants a snuggle from her and she's lunging out of his arms to get to mummy, but that mostly happens when she's tired or hurt/unwell. Like when I'm finished nursing and let him out of his room on the weekends he'll immediately run into our room, climb into our bed and on top of DH. On the rare nights DH gets home before bedtime he'll squat and open his arms and E will light up and run into them. My son is a mama's boy! And I LOVE it. </p> <p>He just turned one and he's always been a mama's boy. He cries when I leave the room. He follows me around the house. When I get home from work, he greets me at the door and then clings to my leg. If he's tired, he wants me. Feeling icky, he wants me. The only word he knows is mama, and my heart melts every time he says it. </p> <p>Yes, sometimes it's frustrating when I'm trying to get something done, but I secretly love it! I'm enjoying this time before he grows up and doesn't want me anymore.</p> <p>Anyone else have a mama's boy? or mama's girl? </p>
