But I am your daddy. So you should say, Hi Daddy. Got it?"</p> <p>He said ok, then he paused mischievously and said, "Hi son!"</p> <p>So I explained that when mommy and daddy have a boy, that boy is their son. And that since he's a boy, he is my son. And he is mommy's son. And I am his daddy.</p> <p>Charlie nodded thoughtfully and added, "Hi son!" Since then he's been telling everyone, "Hi son!" or "You are my son."</p> <p>Ok here's the question: do you think he's messing with me? Or was my explanation just too darn complicated. OMG Charlie, I am not your son!!! </p>
