@Mrsbells: I second the snugabunny swing for the sole reason that it plugs into the wall! Ours is battery operated and we've spent a fortune in batteries. Totally sucks.

@shopaholic: yeah I kept mine at less than 70 and then had a supplemental registry of about 50 for more fun items, or items not available at BRU.

What about baby wipes? Paci wipes, diaper bag, wet bag

I got carters pouches from BRU and they're great for organizing the diaper bag or using for soiled clothes.

I second diaper genie refills - I also remember reading on a review website as well as consumer reports that the 'basic' diaper genie (with no foot pedal) holds odors better than the one with the foot pedal for some reason. we have the one without the foot pedal and it works great (used the same one with my nanny-LOs).

I wouldn't worry about adding more. If people need more options you'll get gift cards, which are fantastic!

@cvbee: The vicks rectal thermometer definitely cannot hurt the baby. it is tiny and is the most accurate when you are worried that your baby might be ill. The tip is very short

@Honeybee: @tequiero21 suggested the same things... we're actually getting the chair/booster and bumbo from target. i didn't like the patterns on the chairs at bru, and they don't sell the bumbo anymore. apparently they removed them all after the recall. there are 2 diaper genie refill packs on the registry though. thanks for reminding me about the bottle brush! i actually registered for one while in the store, but a couple things i registered for didn't show up online when i looked -- i already added everything else, but forgot about that! thanks!! :)

I would recommend more towels. It looks like you have one 2-pack?

*Um, a highchair? I didn't see one on there.

*A bouncy seat/Bumbo/etc....? Some babies love the swing, but our bouncy seat was an absolute necessity the first few months with both kids. Nevermind, I didn't see your update!

I'd second an additional changing pad cover.

Bottle brush?

I see the Diaper Genie, but no refill packs?

@erwoo: i actually have that exact drying rack on there :) my husband wanted to get the itzbeen when we were in the store. i found an iphone app that does something similar. do you think it's worth the money or would the app work just as well?

@tequiero21: we're getting the booster and bumbo from target. i didn't like the patterns on the feeding chair/boosters at bru, and they don't sell the bumbo anymore. thanks for the detailed input! :)

@Mrs. High Heels: i added the wedge to my personal amazon registry (items i like, might need or buy) in case we have that same problem. thanks!!

@photojane - my baby had reflux issues the first few months so anything elevated would've helped her. i'm tempted to get the rock 'n play for my 2nd, but i don't want to deal with a difficult rnp to crib transition either. for our 1st, because of her reflux, we got this crib wedge that helped elevate her head and it helped her sleep soo much better at night. these are things that you don't know until after your baby is born though!! this is the crib wedge we used - http://www.amazon.com/Dexbaby-Safe-Universal-Wedge-White/dp/B00067AUP2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1348244861&sr=8-1&keywords=crib+wedge

I forgot-if you are into immediate baby wearing, I LOVE our ring sling. Great investment.

@cvbee: I asked about the rectal thermometer and Liv's two pedis recommended the Vicks one because its so small and flexible that the chances of hurting the baby are very slim. They were both pretty adamant that you get as accurate a reading as possible when they are so small and rectal is the best for that. But each provider might say something different. We switched to a temporal artery thermometer around 4 months, but even now when I need more accuracy I will use the rectal and rely on that

i don't see a bathtub... do you have one already? or maybe i missed it.

for pacifiers, we like the nuk orthodontics.

baby wipes, i actually like huggies natural care the best so far (used pampers sensitive, kirkland, huggies (2 kinds))... the pampers is so slick it's hard to get a grip on babies butt.

i 2nd a baby carrier - we use it all the time. we have the beco gemini.

i don't think you need so many toys, but that's just me.

thermometers, we use the exergen one that you can roll across the forehead.

i 2nd the extra baby covers. lots and lots of accidents, especially if you have a boy. not so much with a girl, fortunately =) but it's nice to have one on when you're washing the other.

don't think i saw any highchairs or anything for feeding.

also, what about bumbo/bebe pod sorta thing. we had one but it was defective so i returned it. but i think it's nice to have when the kids are learning to sit up.

boppy - extra cover? same reason as extra changing pad

don't think i saw a bottle cleaner. we have a sterilizer as well, which comes in handy.

congrats!!!!

A nice to have that I added to our registry was the Itzbeen. I used it the entire time I was nursing with my first and almost 6 months later still using with my second. I didn't look through what other people suggested but I didn't see a drying rack. I like the First Years Spinning one a lot. And, yeah, BRUs recommends WAY too much, really. They just want you to buy it all. LOL! Looks like your registry has all that you need once the baby goes home. :)

honestly... y'all are so awesome! what would i do without hellobee?!

@ladyfingers: thanks! we like it :)

@cvbee: we have a car mirror on there, and i have a carseat cover already (free, only paid shipping!). i'm actually worried about the clothing gifts! i initially wanted to be team green for this very reason. i know it sounds rude, but i don't trust most of the people who will come to buy clothes for my daughter. haha

@Mrs. High Heels: i love the wubbanub! i'm actually just going to buy that myself because i want the lamb, but they don't sell that one at BRU. also, i've heard that the r-n-p to crib transition can be difficult. i've been hesitant to get it for that reason. i read it's better to keep baby flat from the beginning...?

and if you're planning to use a pacifier, i would look into the wubbanub!! its a plush toy attached to a paci so it stays put better than a regular paci. also, if it falls out for any reason it'll be a lot easier for you (and baby) to find.

your registry looks great!!

i would add to it the rock 'n play (i didn't have one with my first but so many mom's swear by it for those first 4 months!! it's elevated so it helps baby sleep better). we also love our fisher price healthy care deluxe booster seat for when the baby started eating solids. its portable and great for an at-home "high chair" as well that doesn't take up much space!

I was going to say nursing cover and diaper bag too, but looks like you've got that covered.

I see you have the Halo sleep sacks and Summer Infant swaddlers, but I am going to highly recommend that you switch to Halo swaddlers: they rock.

I cannot say enough good things about babywearing, so I recommend that you register for a soft wrap for newborn and a structured Ergo (not a 'crotch dangler'...google it) for 4 months-plus. (You can get ERgo with an infant insert, but it is sooo comfy to have a soft wrap for when baby is newborn.

BRU is funny with their inventory, like, something you register for now will be out of stock when it comes to shower time, or things will suddenly become available, so keep stalking BRU online. :)

Other little things you can add:
-mirror to see baby in car
-rain cover for your stroller (well, maybe you won't ever walk in the rain? but if you're like me and have to walk the dog in the rain you'll want it)

Regarding the rectal thermometer that people are talking about, I am going to pipe up and say that in my prenatal class we were told not to use those because you can hurt the baby. I agree that ear thermometers are touch-and-go, even with older kids. I say register for a classic baby mouth thermometer.

You could register for more than one of some of your things, like the breastmilk bags, the nursing pads, the wipes, etc.

I will also say not to get to wound up about not having enough items. Many people will not use your registry. I see you are having a girl: you will get a LOT of clothes. People will also buy you lots of other things that you don't need to add to your registry.

Have fun!

@LivsMama: we actually didn't even register for any 3's. for some reason the registry is really messed up online. it says "Pampers Baby Dry Diapers Super Economy Size 3 - 204Ct" but if you look under it, it says "Color: NO COLOR, Size: DIAPER SIZE 2." we registered for 1 pack of newborns, 2 packs of 1's, and then a large box of 2's. i'm not sure why it looks like that online though..maybe i should redo that part?

@Mrs Green Grass: there's a tub, wash cloths, towels, and shampoo/wash on there. i think a few toys too. anything else for the bath that i should add?

@MungBean: good idea on the extra cover! i have a nursing cover already, and my mom is getting me a vera bradley diaper bag for christmas. :)

looks pretty good to me! Althought my babe isn't here yet...

What about a carseat, and possibly an extra carseat base if you have more than one car? I registered for & got both the infant carseat and the convertible carseat for when he's bigger.

And a stroller? Do you have one already? Plus the stroller tends to have some extra accessories.

How about some basic onesies? Or a few side-snap shirts? I keep hearing the NB size side-snaps shirts are great for when they first come home, they don't rub too much on the umbilical cord.

I think that's a very thorough registry! :) my suggestions - maybe an extra changing table cover? We were constantly washing ours in the beginning because of accidents. Diaper bag? Nursing cover?

totally agree with @Mrsbells: on the Vicks rectal thermometer. The ear one isnt accurate until like 3 months old, you want a rectal (and that one is great.)

I have that same floppy seat cover and love it

I think the size 3 diapers can be replaced with a smaller size. Liv didnt wear size 3 until she was maybe like 9 months old? At 14 months, shes still in size 3. Id add a 1. If they are too big, theyll leak, especially for overnight diapers (we use those ones though, and they are great.)

We have a lot of what is on your registry, so its pretty complete! Id add some more med kit stuff-gripe water, gas drops, baby q tips, hylands colic tablets, an infant tooth/gum brush, teething tablets, etc.

we have a diaper genie and love it. It really makes a difference!

My baby didnt use size 1 diapers for very long, its like she was in NB for a while and then nearly jumped into size 2 so I would buy big boxes of the early sizes
It probably doesnt matter but after trying different ones, I can tell you that boogin head paci grips really are the best out there,so you might want to consider those
Also the vicks rectal thermometer will give you the most accurate temp in the early months over an ear thermo
We I have the lansinoh pump and I love it! I also have the snugabunny swing!

@Thehistoryofus, @LivsMama: ahhh.. put the wrong link up there! the right one is finally there. this one should work! :)

i just felt like $40 for a trash can was a lot, but hopefully i'll be as thankful for it as you are! i'm not dying to smell poopy diapers, so i guess it has its advantages.

@photojane: Ill look now, but I have to say, I LOVE the Diaper Genie. I know some think its unnecessary, but now that her poop smells enough to fuel a nuclear submarine, Im thankful for it. I never smell ANYTHING in there. When I open it to toss out a diaper and the smell comes up for a second, I thank the Diaper Genie "genie" for exisitng lol

Also, link still not working. It goes to the generic "find a registry" page
