For toes I have him sit in my lap and give him a toy. I actually had a scratch on my nose from her grabbing it the other day while nursing. I've found that if I wear a headlamp while clipping it sometimes distracts her enough (and helps me see!) Last night I put her feet in the bathroom sink and turned the water on trickle and it distracted her enough that I got both hands done! Ha! My 2yo is really into number and counting, so I have him sit in my lap. I wrap one arm across his chest to hold his other arm away, then we count. I clip 3 or 4 times per nail, all the way around. For feet I have both of my arms over his chest. I actually had cat-like scratches on my chest yesterday!</p> <p>I also consider it a win if I get at least 3 nails done in one sitting - on either kid. </p> <p>I think it's one of my most disliked parenting 'chores.' </p>
