It's a Anemone × hybrida 'Königin Charlotte' (or Queen Charlotte in German). Anyone that would ask will want to know the variety, but I guess they're not going to ask over and over. I don't know ... it's so pretty though and around here, it's difficult to find ppl selling them now. It would likely annoy me because 1) people would ask what kind it is and I'd cringe hearing the name over and over 2) it spreads, so it will eventually be everywhere. One of the reasons why I want to plant it because I want it to spread. Yeh, it'll be too annoying. But how about pets or plants? </p> <p>I've been looking forward to plant a specific flower in an area of my yard that's long overdue for some TLC. There are tons of different varieties, but my garden center only has 2. One I don't like and the other is named after the girl my DH fell in love with before me. It's called Queen Charlotte! </p> <p>It's quite pretty and although it's not my first choice, it'll due. But I'm still turned off by the name. Am I being silly? Would you plant a flower with your SO's ex's name? How about pet? </p>
