Unintentionally, both A names. And our second name for a boy is ALSO an A name. Pure coincidence.

I don't think our kids' names will start with the same letter.
It took us forever to come up with LO's name.. not looking forward to thinking of names for baby #2!

No, I would prefer that the names not follow the same pattern.

Well.... if we have a boy next our kids will be the names from Titanic. Not because I love the movie (I do love it), but those are the two names that we both loved without realizing the Titanic reference. My sister was kind enough to point it out to me.

If we have a girl next we'll probably have two flower names. Again not on purpose, it just happens to be names we love. And we pick from family names so we don't have huge options.

Oh definitely not doing that- even with non-id twins it can be hard for people to tell them apart and similar names would only make that worse. I know of one case of identical twin girls called Blaithin and Blaithnid (pronounced Blaw-heen and Blaw-nidge) - very slight variations on the same Irish name (little flower). Madness. A theme is one thing, or indeed a pattern, but to be honest I think each child is entitled to a name completely their own.

If we had two kids, their names would not be alike. I have friends that do the whole everyone has the same first letter thing. The parents have the same first letter of their first name, so they named their kids with that letter, as well.

I remember going to elementary school with siblings named Christopher/Christina, Alexandria/Alexander and Melanie/Melody!

My LO has a Japanese first name so I kinda want my next LO to have a Japanese name....but I think we will just try to find a name we both love!

Will your children have names that follow any sort of pattern/theme etc? Will their names start with the same letter?
