However, they have worked fine for us when I stick them on the tags as well. They are great! I put them in everything that can go on and off at school (jackets, hats, cubby/backup clothes). They almost never come off in the wash and I have been able to re-use them by taking off the sticker when it is time to hand me down and transferring to the new one. I stick them to tags when I can, but when that’s not an option I stick them directly to the clothing. So far, we’ve been using them for 1.5 years and I’ve never had one fall off in the wash. I haven’t tried to remove any of them though. I wanted something that would survive washing but ultimately come off cleanly so we can sell the diapers when we're done with them. We've only been using them 3 months but they've survived washing 2x/week and still look brand new - I'm really happy with them!
