We picked DH's great grandma for the first name and my great grandma for the second name. We wanted to pick people that we've either met or heard good stories about so we can tell LO why we named her after these people and the good qualities that they share. We were discussing flowers and it was the moment when I realized (or admitted to myself) that I liked him. As I relationship progressed, I thought that would be the perfect name to name our daughter one day.</p> <p>Fast forward a few years later and I find out that the name I fell in love is his sister's middle name. I was torn! Especially when I got pregnant and found out we're having a girl! I really loved that name but couldn't/wouldn't be able to stand the fact that our daughter will be named after a family member. </p> <p>I didn't want to have to always justify our choice or correct people when they'd assume we picked the name because of his sister (whom I'm not very close to). Plus the name is pronounced differently here then how we'd say it in other parts of the world. No drama really, we did it because I love Wagon Sr.'s name (Robert). Wagon Sr. was a little hesitant because he felt it could seem a little self-centered to name his son after himself, but he got over it and I'm so glad.
