It keeps things nice and enclosed. My LOs started using nap mats when they transitioned to the toddler room around 17/18 months. They sleep on a cot, but use a nap mat on top that is very similar to what you posted, just without the attached blanket since they like their aiden and anais blankets from home. For visiting family and friends we bring an Aerobed sized for kids. I remember nap mats as being primarly used in pre-school and kindergarten but these are more sophisticated than the plastic fold up mats I remember. They have little blankets and pillows attached. I was thinking, one, how smart this is and two, wouldn't it be great to have this as a place that LO could sleep whenever he was visiting someone?</p> <p>So how old was your LO when you bought one/started using one? Would you have spent the money or just folded up a comforter for them to sleep on?
