@Sweet T: Wow! I can't believe they are still being made. Of course people are going to blame the parents for improper use, but there is obviously a design flaw as well.

I never bought one but I remember seeing them when I registered for DS. I googled them earlier and they've been recalled at least twice since 2010!

We LOVED our nap nanny! We didn't have a Boppy Lounger (not even sure what that is), but we did have a bouncer. We used te nap nanny all the time for the first 6 months. We even took the nap nanny to my parents house when we'd visit.

I did use a gift card to buy it, if that makes a difference and we didn't pay for the Boppy lounger (borrowed) or the bouncer (shower gift). Right now I'm leaning towards returning it. I'm still questioning whether it will be worth it to get him to sleep there and have to go through transitioning him later. After reading the recent blog post about having a baby who is an awesome sleeper it kinda makes me want to work with him on the crib. We don't need the incline for reflux and will usually only wake up once per night in the crib. He's actually been napping in the crib for the past 1.5-2 hours.

Overall it just seems like one of those products where those who like it absolutely love it and are crazy about it. However, this makes me want to test it out tonight to see if it really makes him sleep that much longer.

We were given one, but there's no way I would buy one for myself. It functions just as well as a bouncer or Rock and Play but costs twice as much. Our LO did sleep in it at night, but for only a few weeks.

My BFF has one and is obsessed with it. Her 16 week old still naps in it!! There have been a few nights where I have wished I had one just to have another option to try to get LO to sleep somewhere! But so far I haven't decided to pull the trigger and get one because of the cost.

I have a friend who swore by it but she said it was only useful for a limited window. Sounds like it may not be necessary for you if you already have a system, and I recall it being pretty pricey..

I registered for the Nap Nanny too because it looks pretty convenient. But I didn't register for the Boppy Lounger. To me, it's kind of repetitive? The thing I did like about the Nap Nanny (feature-wise, not from experience yet) is that the baby can actually sleep at night in it. Also, it's supposed to help with acid reflux? We're not planning to have baby sleep with us in our room, but I feel good knowing that if need be, I can put her in the Nap Nanny or the Snugabunny in our room (instead of something bigger). Also contemplating bringing it as a bed for travel? But IDK how it will actually work out. Interested in hearing from someone with practical use!

Does anyone have one of these? Is it really worth it? I bought one because I've heard some good things about it, but we haven't used it yet because I'm not sure we need it. Right now LO is five weeks old. We let him hang out (and nap) in the Boppy Newborn Lounger or the Snuggabunny Bouncer. I'm not sure how the Nap Nanny would be any better or different. Apparently it can be great for babies at night, but I don't know if it will necessarily improve his sleep that much. We usually get 2+ 3-4 hour stretches at night (in his crib in his room because he's a noisy sleeper) and multiple day naps. I think that's typical for his age? I'm not sure I want him to get used to something to then have to wean him off and transition back to the crib. We don't have a rock n play, but were initially hoping to have him in the Arm's Reach Co-sleeper Bassinet in our room. That ended at about 2 weeks because I couldn't handle his noises. So should we try it out and keep it or take it back to BRU? Any other thoughts on this situation?
