We used to keep two rolled up blankets in her crib and slid those up tightly against her to keep her from moving, and in hopes that it would simulate us holding her. I think it worked pretty well.

Have you tried putting your hand gently on her back right after you put her in the crib? Or if that's not enough, patting her on the back for a little while after you put her in the crib?

Usually after a minute or so of doing that, Olive is calm enough that I can take my hand off and she stays asleep!

LO is 3.5 months old and has no problem sleeping at night. She's been STTN since 6 weeks old. Her bedtime routine starts at around 8:30 and once she does fall asleep, she'll sleep until 5 or 6am, nurse, and then fall back asleep until 9 or 10. I'm a very well rested mommy.

Her naps are another story. She only wants to be held til she falls asleep and when I put her down, it will wake her up. If I do successfully get her down, she wakes up within 30 minutes. I feel like all I'm doing throughout the day is hold her in the glider. I work part time at home and would like to get some stuff done here and there but I cant. Does anyone have any books or techniques that helped with nap training?
