super dumb question--what nap training method does everyone use? i don't know if there is one method (and if so, what is it) or if there are multiple?

When we first nap trained, her naps went from 2-3 hours to 40-60 minutes. We are now about a month out from nap training and her first 2 naps are 1-2 hours and the third nap is less than 1 hour.

I would guess it might be the age as well...LO's naps were awesome initially (2+ hours), they sucked months 4& 5, we nap trained at 5 months, they were still short (like 40 min, 1 hour) until 7 months, and then they lengthened on their own.

We nap trained at the same time as sleep training and it has gotten us past the magical 60 minute mark. Sometimes she still only sleeps for 40 minuntes, most of the time it's an hour, then she will sleep for 1h30 or 2 hours sometimes! It's not consistently long, but she's never napped for very long even when she was in the swing.

Before nap training, DD would only nap in my arms (long naps) and would not nap otherwise. After nap training, she would nap in her crib from 1.5-3 hours, depending.

If you nap trained, how long did your lo's naps last?

Before I started nap training, lo was napping in the rnp and would sometimes take 2-3hr naps in the afternoon. I moved him to his crib and nap trained at the same time and now he does 40-60min but never more.

Do you think they'll lengthen again?
