M sort of cut her naps on her own. At 14 months she was taking two solid naps and I thought the transition was nowhere in sight. Suddenly she started fighting both of her naps and taking forever to fall asleep. She was pushing her naps back so far that she was having trouble falling asleep at night. By 15 months I decided to just keep her up through her first nap and put her down in the early afternoon. It was tough for a week or so but now she's been sleeping from 1pm to 3 or 4pm and we're in a good groove.

I think she had to be ready to make it work though!

S cut his naps. I remember specifically him cutting his 1st nap by sleeping longer in the morning and either sleeping a half hour or cutting his afternoon nap completely which made for a miserable kid in the afternoon!

I started to keep him up in the morning and wouldn't let him nap, and he fell into a really nice afternoon napping schedule. He'll usually nap about 2-3 hours anywhere between 12:30 and 4.

E cut his naps. He would just refuse to sleep. We're between 1-2 right now, depending on when he wakes up, how long he's willing to stay up in the morning and how long his first nap is, but most days it's just one nap now. I try to follow his cues, though, and we keep a pretty loose schedule.

I know at least one of the daycares around here has only block of time for toddler naps, so I guess if it was something like that I'd be more strict about it, but otherwise, if he's happy with two naps I'd just follow his lead.

Did your LO naturally cut naps? Did you move them to less naps? Did daycare schedules push less naps?

DS is 14 months old and shows no sign of wanting to drop either of his two naps.

He currently sleeps... 7/8-8, nap 1 at 11-12+, nap 2 at 3-4+...

I'm wondering if we should start trying to push him to one nap, or just follow his cues
