But she has just started a French immersion program this year), and she didn't have naps last year but they are doing them this year! I thought it was bizarre because I had never gone to daycare or preschool and had apparently dropped my nap by then. That being said, I vividly remember never napping at nap time. I was a rule follower so I always just laid there &amp; never disrupted anyone but I rarely actually slept during nap time. My kids have nap time in my pre-k class, but my sister teaches kindergarten and they only have a 20 min recess and no nap.
