@Kemma, that is pretty much where we are at now. I nurse her down for most sleeps. She likes that. I guess maybe it might be best to ride it out for now. I'm just concerned that she's not getting enough sleep when her naps are only 30 minutes. I've been trying to figure out ways to encourage longer ones...but maybe it is all she needs.

Six-twelve months can be a really rough time for sleep due to teething, separation anxiety and all the developmental stuff that goes on.

FWIW I gave up trying to get Miss A to self soothe and I now feed her to sleep for the majority of sleeps and we also bed share on the bad nights. Nursing to sleep seems to give us two decent naps a day and gives me a lot less stress!

I don't think she is currently teething but this has been ongoing for several months now. I nurse her to sleep most days, sometimes she goes down with rocking. (Naps and nighttime) We've tried some sleep training. She will cry for hours if we leave her in there. I want to try something that will help her learn to self-soothe. I've tried introducing a lovey but she isn't taking to anything in particular.

Is she teething? How are you putting her to sleep? Have you tried or considered sleep training?

My 8 month DD refuses to take naps longer than 30-40 minutes at a time. Most days she does two, maybe 3. Her nighttime sleep is a mess as well. It takes us over 2 hours to get her to bed at night. I'm thinking these both contribute to each other, but I'm at a loss of what to do. It's been like this for several months now.
