I recently retread TLTWaTW and whoa! It was like reading a totally different book - the things that went totally over my head as a kid were super obvious as an adult reader (sexism, the strong Christianity message, etc.). It was kind of cool reading The Magician's nephew later and seeing the pre-story.</p> <p>Those were my favorites growing up and I read the whole series probably half a dozen times. These are my all time favourites! If I were you I'd read all the books, regardless of order, before seeing the movies. I actually don't really like the movies, because they're not true enough to the books for me. They're good movies, but I think because I know the books so well, I just can't enjoy the movies.
