Kid free trip 🙌</p> <p>So far we have tickets the the Opry 2 nights, dinner at Kane Prime for our Anniversary and are doing a bar crawl tour in Nashville. In Louisville we have another couple joining us. I always suggest to people that they just do a day trip to see the hotel and not actually stay there. It's not at all convenient to the night life downtown or any of the best restaurants in the city. Barista Parlor (there are several locations) serves an amazing breakfast, too. Crema roasts their own beans, so you can even take some home to brew. </p> <p>I also love The Pharmacy for killer burgers and great atmosphere. 5 Daughters donuts are expensive but incredible. Biscuit Love is magical, too. 12 South is a fun area of town - any of the restaurants around there are awesome. </p> <p>The weather in TN in October is absolutely beautiful. The trees will be gorgeous changing colors and the weather should be cool at night and comfortable during the day, mid 70s, depending on if you're here in early or late October. Last year it was beautiful in early October, but the weekend that A was born was super cool and windy (the day I went into labor was amazing though). There are a couple of races in early October so depending on the weekend it might be hard to get out of downtown. 21c is cool (Proof is AMAZING), then there is the Brown Hotel (home of the Hot Brown), the Galt House, and a few other fancy places to stay. Really, downtown nightlife is limited to 4th St. Live, but there are some cool places in the Highlands and it has a very hipster vibe (but amazing food).</p> <p>ETA: NuLu is very up and coming, I recommend Hi-Five donuts if you like donuts (I like the Unicorn donut), I have friends who like Decca, Feast is very good, and then there's Toast on Market for breakfast/brunch. The 21C hotel in Louisville is fantastic and their restaurant and bar are solid too.
