Because of my history of loss, last pregnancy they ran a full panel that assessed if I carried any recessive genes for a number of different diagnoses. My doctor clearly said I didn't need that this time. I'm also over 35 and have a history/high likelihood of trisomy, that's why we had to do IVF with PGD. It's covered and if it wasn't I would be raising hell. My insurance company refused to cover the testing at first and After speaking with the doctor's office, they resubmitted the paperwork using different codes. It's the one my practice offers. I'm scared of false positives with my upcoming NT scan (measuring a part of the neck of a wriggling baby? Really?)<br /> Did anyone get Natera who technically didn't qualify for it (over 35, etc)? How did it work with approval/ insurance? I don't mind paying a little out of pocket for sure but not the apparent $8000 it costs! </p>
