I used to have the same issue. I found homeopathic ear ache drops were actually enough to help my body kill the infection. Since it isn't tested, they can't say it is to treat ear infections, but it worked for me. They are in normal drug stores. I recall Murine and some brand beginning with an S (similsan or something like that) were what I went with.

I had a lot of ear infections as a child and remember having olive oil poured into my ear and a piece of Kleenex put in by my mother. Then I think I lay on the side that had oil in it. I was also given cloves of garlic rice to eat in the mornings because it boosts your immune system and helps fight infection. When I was older my granny suggested putting a piece of garlic in my ear for a few hours and I out it in, but I freaked out that it would get stuck and had to get someone to take it out.

I don't know if the garlic and olive oil helped me as a child. After a while I just stopped getting them, but it was after a few years.

Google essential oils. I was just researched and ran across that somewhere but can't remember which one it was. You put it behind your ear I think.

I am not sure which kind of essential oil is supposed to help but there is one...I'm sure if you google it you'll find it!

Do you use anything to dry your ears out completely after swimming? When we were little and got swimmers ear a lot my mom would put drops of rubbing alcohol in our ears after swimming and it would help get that last by of water dried out. I feel like she also used to use an otc drop when we got swimmers ear but I can't really remember. She wasn't so into natural remedies. I still use the rubbing alcohol trick though.

I get ear infections pretty regularly. Typically they are from water and I get diagnosed with swimmers ear. I'd love to find a way to attempt to treat them other than spending $85 to see the ENT and then whatever it costs for the meds.

I read that olive oil and garlic are good for healing ear infections. Anyone have experience with trying to heal them naturally? Without antibiotics?
