@HolisticMama: Ive never met anyone else who does seed cycling! Everyone always thinks I'm so strange!
@RonniLeigh: Yep, I think I switched the order of the oils. It's been 18 months since I've done it, so I'm confused. Currently I take GLA from AF-O, and Omega 3 from O-AF, with chia, hemp and flax seeds all month. That's to balance my hormones and regulate cycles post-baby.

@redsmarties: I've never heard of seed cycling either. Very interesting! Is the evening primrose oil set for AF-O or O-AF? I've heard evening primrose oil shouldn't be taken from O-AF because it can cause uterin contractions so quite interested if it's meant to be taken post O. I take it currently (sans seeds  ) between AF-O in order to boost healthy CM production.

@LindsayInNY: basically, you take one set of seeds and oils from AF to O, and a different set from O-AF. Or, if you don't have a regular cycle, you take set 1 from new moon to full moon, and set 2 from full moon to new moon. The first set is chia, flax and pumpkin seeds with cod liver oil, and the second set is sesame and sunflower seeds with evening primrose oil. They mimic the rise and fall of hormones in your body.

Also, inositol helps regulate cycles, hormones, and blood sugars. I'm on it now, postpartum, to help with hormones as well.

I'm not currently TTC, but I got my BFP after 2 years TTC with naturopathic/OTC remedies.
Seed cycling, castor oil packs, inositol, chromium, green tea, evening primrose oil, vitex and B6 were just some of the things I used.
I wrote a HB guest post about it all awhile back...but I also don't mind sharing! I love helping/chatting if it could help someone else get their baby!

@spaniellove: yes estrogen is not good for fibroid growth but in my case it might be okay because my fibroids are pretty small (2cm) and I am more concerned about the DOR and my LP.

@spaniellove: I think this is a good point, and worth keeping in mind. Even things that we consider to be "natural" (which is a relatively arbitrary distinction) there will always be side effects, and those side effects can be negative.
A close friend of mind began taking several different vitamins in an effort to boost her fertility, and ended up shortening her LP as well as causing random spotting throughout the month.
Just a word of caution! Carry on!

@MrsMccarthy: Oh, and I think I told you in the other thread that I did more praying this month. Although it was almost more just like focused positive thoughts/meditation/talking to God while I was on my morning and nightly walks with my dog :) I really think it helped me to calm down a bit and center myself.

Sorry for the long posts!! I just know that I liked reading about what others did.

This might be a little silly, and might not have any effect on anything, but thought I would share :)

Since the past two months I've spotted very, very slightly (like, really more of darkened cm) at 8 and 9 dpo (although only 8 dpo last month), then nothing again until AF, I started to worry that I might be a little low in prog. So I read up on some natural ways to boost prog and/or balance your hormones, and tried to incorporate those.

I ate tons of walnuts, dark chocolate, and spinach after O. I also tried to eat a lot of sesame seeds (I think I read that they can help balance hormones?? Now I can't remember why I was eating them, haha!!). At 6 dpo, I read about the pineapple method, so ate a few pieces of pineapple with core, then realized I was only supposed to do it from O to 5 dpo. Haha oops. So that was the only day. I also read good things about kiwis, honey, and cinnamon helping with blood flow increase, etc., so I figured why the hell not and had some of each every day after O.

We again used preseed this month, and I O'ed after BDing each time again.

I didn't spot on 8 or 9 dpo this month, so I'm hoping all those walnuts did the trick and helped keep my lining nice and thick ;)

And we got our BFP! Not sure if it was just random, or if any or ak of the above helped, but thought I would share :) I liked that I at least FELT like I was doing something to help my fertility this month.

I am soooo keeping my fingers crossed that you all get your BFPs so soon!! Hopefully in April :)

@MrsMccarthy: I take 200mg of vitex a day (equivalent of 1200ug?).

I do take a prenatal vitamin with the 100 mg of B6, which I thought should be sufficient for having other B vitamins, but I'm not sure if it is?

My LP is difficult to measure owing to the fact that I spot for about a week before AF, but the spotting is not always consistent (sometimes light, sometimes heavier). I THINK my LP is around 8 or 9 days, though.

@MrsMccarthy: I could never say for sure what worked, but the last several months I was taking (for DOR):
wheatgrass
ubiquinol (which is a more potent form of CoQ10 and sometimes more effective)
royal jelly (capsules, not the jelly)
fish oil

But is it true that with fibroids you have to be careful with estrogen? I think some supplements like wheatgrass and royal jelly lower your FSH, which raises your estrogen.

Evening primrose oil is supposedly good for helping to produce good quality CM or alleviate hostile CM.

I have a short LP so I also take agnus castus (vitex) and vitamin B6. I read recently, however, that it might be better to take a Vitamin B Complex rather than B6 by itself as your body may not properly absorb or use B6 by itself. I'm going to be switching to B Complex "100" starting from my next AF to see if switching helps increase my LP as I haven't noticed much of an increase with B6 alone. I've been taking B6 and agnus castus for about 9 months if that helps.

I will add - I don't remember the specifics, but with things like royal jelly, B6, maca, etc, they're best taken for specific conditions. If taken under the wrong conditions they could actually mess up your fertility even more!

But I'll add to the list:
wheatgrass/spirulina
inositol (supposedly good for PCOS, REs are using this)

And I found Julia Indichova's books Inconceivable and The Fertile Female to be helpful.

I have been posting a lot of things on POAS threads and realized I would love for us all to have one place where we could post or pool our resources on some of the many low tech or over the counter remedies for fertility that are out there today. This can include mind and body. We can also ask about specifics and share our experiences. Some off the top of my head:

Acupuncture
Fertility foods
Royal Jelly
Circle and Bloom Meditation
Vietx
B6
baby asprin
Maca root

the list goes on! Here are a couple of good links i found today
