@hilsy85: You can do it in your oven too - just roast all the meat and veg. But you may need to run the hood fan if you have meat smell problems. I do a super fast meal where I toss a bag of frozen green beans with salt pepper and garlic powder with olive oil, then top with a pork tenderloin that's been slathered with Dijon mustard, salt and pepper, and whatever herb you have. Roast at 400 for 30 minutes, let the meat rest for 5 minutes, slice up and serve with whatever carb you want. Buttered noodles would be good!

@gingerbebe: we live in the city and don't have a grill here unfortunately! Otherwise that would be great.

Thanks everyone. Luckily, I'm not SUPER nauseous, it's mostly just vague yuckiness and some foods make it worse. And I rarely have the energy to cook!

I grilled a lot of different meats on Sunday and sliced them up and put them in the fridge with a grain like brown rice and a few sweet potatoes I baked on the coals after grilling the meat and had DH pick and choose with a side of frozen veggies during the week. I usually made a tri tip, a sausage, and a pork tenderloin or chicken with some easy marinade or seasoning. My DH doesn't know how to grill but if yours does that can be something you can have him do. My tastes changed every five seconds so I just ate what I felt like.

@hilsy85: I've had so many days where I texted my husband and told him if he wanted something other than a sandwich or cereal for dinner, he better eat at work before leaving (they have a cafeteria that offers pretty healthy things). There are some days where I just can't smell ANYTHING.

DH ate a LOT of frozen food my first trimester, I just couldn't stomach handling meat, ect. On the days I felt better, I would whip up meals that he could eat for a few days so I didn't have to cook. He was understanding but I felt bad too!

Not much help- we've been doing lots of Mac n cheese, fish sticks, pasta dishes, and frozen steamed veggies, fruit, etc. Poor DH has to fend for himself most nights, I'm just not in the mood for our typical dinners!

PBJ. Turkey sandwiches. Pasta. Fend for yourself while I sit around sipping Gatorade LOL. Asian foods always worked well for me so we did some chinese or korean.

I banned garlic from the house altogether, I just omit it from recipes at the moment. I did a lot of baked potato, cheese and beans and pasta bake (jarred sauce). For lunches LO had peanut butter on toast for months. What helped me is DH cooked up a few big batches of meals at the weekend and I just reheated them through the week. Good luck, cooking with MS is so tough!

I've stopped cooking. I don't have a toddler to cook for so I don't feel bad about it. We've been eating plenty of cereal and takeout. I can't stand to open the fridge, much less touch meat. Hopefully I'll feel better in the second tri and cook again. DH gets home too late to cook dinner for us.

DH often cooked for him and LO and I ate whatever I could manage from their meal.. but most often I just had toast. It was a rough time because I couldn't help DH cook, feed LO or clean up. Everything grossed me out! Hope it passes quickly for you!

We have done so much takeout lately! :bummed: my husband has been grilling for himself + LO when I just want to eat my cereal... I can sometimes handle roasting some chicken and veggies as long as I hold my breath when it comes out. Sorry I am not much help - I am interested to see some suggestions too!!

Any ideas for family dinners I can cook that won't make me feel sick? I am currently holding my nose while sauteeing onion and garlic. I would love to just do Annie's mac n cheese for LO every night, but that still leaves DH, plus LO might turn into a pasta noodle...
