I dont think feeling sick is a sign of things going particuatly well anymore (thank goodness be ause i was getting really scared like you). My ms peaked between 7-8 weeks when i actually had a dip in progesterone then as my levels started to rise back up again the sickness wore off. In other words, it told me nothing about how well the pregnancy and my hormone levels were doing!

I'm 6.5 weeks and have not had any symptoms yet besides sore breasts and shortness of breath. I wouldn't worry.

@MrsTal: hum "happy birthday" while brushing your teeth. A work colleague told me that during my pregnancy with LO 1 and it worked for me.

Thanks all! I think I need to just enjoy the reprieve because I have a feeling it will be back. I'm started gagging while brushing me teeth and nearly threw up this morning so it seems I might have freaked out a little prematurely, haha.

@swedishfish: I am having a really hard time with protein so I had my DH make fried rice last night and chop up the chicken into really tiny pieces so it was hidden in the rice. I felt pretty amazing after eating it so maybe I need to have him do stuff like that more.

It's different for everyone, I wouldn't worry too much, although I know it's comforting to be sick in a weird sense! It can come & go too, so I would just enjoy the days that you feel better!

That's just about when mine subsided too! I was feeling sick (but never actually puked) from about 6-9 weeks, and then I went a few days and suddenly realized that I wasn't feeling sick anymore.

I was also freaked out, but it ended up being ok for me- I'm almost 26 weeks now, and LO has started waking me up with her late-night dance parties.

I ended up talking to my Mom about it, and she was like, "Oh! I was never really sick with either of you girls!" So maybe there's a genetic component as well? Who knows- it seems so random sometimes! Your MS may be gone for good, it might be on temporary hiatus, but either way, chances are that all is fine!

I think it's not uncommon for symptoms to come and go, you might have a few days of feeling better than feel sick again for a day or two, etc...I remember around 10.5-11 weeks starting to feel better (and also worrying that I wasn't feeling as sick) but it's normal. The endocrine system works off a series of checks and balances so if the body recognizes you have enough of a hormone then it will slow down production until more is needed. Try not to worry, hopefully you have a scan coming up around 12 weeks?

You're coming into the weird window where your symptoms are feeling better, but you don't feel pregnant. It's scary, but most pregnant women have a few weeks like that at the end of the first trimester. :)

@MrsTal: just enjoy that it's subsiding! I'm impressed that you've managed to increase your protein intake. The thought of most proteins makes me sick. For my first LO, I threw up at least once daily from 6 weeks until it subsided completely at 15 weeks. But that was originally a twin pregnancy. For this LO, I've just had nausea (knock on wood) and I'm also 8.5 weeks.

Consider it a blessing! Symptoms aren't necessarily a tell-tale sign of something going right or wrong.

If it makes you feel better, my nausea disappeared early on then smacked me in the face around 8w. It was horrendous. Now it's back at almost 31w!

I'm freaking out a little bit today. I'm 8w5d and my nausea is subsiding. The beginning of this week was the worst it had been but a few days later I feel great. Other symptoms are still present and my RE did say during our u/s on Monday that this week should be the peak of sickness, I guess I just didn't expect to feel better so fast. I also read that increasing protein can help with the nausea so the last couple days I've been trying to eat way more protein so I wonder if that has helped some. I guess I just need some reassurance that this is normal because I found the nausea a bit comforting haha.
