It could be hormonal, I think it's around four months that your hormones finally settle back to their pre-pregnant state.

Hope it passes soon!

thanks ladies - yeah, i'm not great with hydrating enough for sure. I definitely drink more than I did before i was pregnant, but maybe not enough?

pre-pregnancy i was a bit camel-like, i would go entire days without drinking anything (bad I know) my mom & sister are the same way.... being pregnant and post pregnancy i definitely find myself more thirsty & drinking way more.

I had this badly at the start of nursing, and at 17 months, it's not totally gone. Sorry. I had a lot of mild nausea all through out pregnancy too. Not bad, just kind of constantly irritating.

I don't have that anymore, but in the first 5 months or so this happened to me. Ditto to what @cascademom: said, hydrate like crazy.

I had this happen when LO was younger, I think making sure you are hydrated and have had enough to eat would help...at least it helped me a bit.

I get that all the time. It's just a function of pumping and breastfeeding. I try to be super hydrated before feeding and pumping. Someone told me once that before and after a feeding or pumping drink down twice as much water as you feel you can, then you'll be hydrated enough for it. What's funny is that I remember having to be hydrated while pregnant, more thirsty at night. With breastfeeding, I feel like I ran a marathon with one feeding.

It also could be that breastfeeding contracts your uterus. I know I felt that a lot and I could see how it would cause nasuea.

Hey all - this is just a weird thing and I'm wondering if others experience this.

LO is 4 months old, and in the last few weeks, when I'm pumping or when I'm nursing, I get a wave of nausea. Sometimes it lingers a bit, and sometimes its fast, by the time i'm done its gone.

I feel letdown occasionally in between pumping/feeding and don't get the same nausea.

Weird right? This didn't happen in the first 3 months.... I'm guessing it's hormones?
