I wouldn't say anything for two reasons - I wouldn't want them to feel bad even though you're being nice about it/ and 2. It may get to a point where you feel differently and no longer are cool with it. Normal or not, if my kid was being bitten repeatedly I'd start getting pretty upset about it.

I wouldn't say anything. When my LOs were 1 (twins), there was another 1 yr old who probably bit them 20 times combined. For whatever reason, he was targeting my kids even though they didn't do anything to him. The director handled it great, didn't inform me who, but that it happened as it occurred each time. By process of elimination and the teachers really liked me, I knew who it was. At first, I was cool, nbd. But it kept happening over and over and I didn't at all want to deal with the other parents. Sure, o felt bad their kid kept doing it but my first priority was my sons who kept getting bitten. Eventually, that other kid was asked to leave the daycare unfortunately. :bummed:

@littlejoy: I apologize if it seemed like I was saying otherwise, but I just meant that *continuing* to be friendly with them would show there are no hard feelings. I think it's very kind of you to be so understanding.

@regberadaisy: @KT326: Ha! I didn't even think about wrong information. Though, I didn't ask her, she just told me. And, like my LO, that kid is missing a front tooth - so it's confirmed by the bite marks haha.

And I know that's gotta be hard for the parents. That's kind of why I wanted to say something - just to say it's not a big deal for us. But you're right, I don't want them thinking the teacher told me.

I won't say anything unless they say something first.

@simplyfelicity: Of course I will still be friendly. It's a totally normal phase. I don't want them to feel badly because of it.

Nope, I wouldn't say anything. I agree with @regberadaisy. Information could be wrong. Plus I'm sure the parents of the biter already feel bad (I know I did when my son bit someone!).

I'd offer up an "it's ok, nbd" kind of comment. Biting can be really hard on the parents.

Personally, I wouldn't say anything. Little kids can't be trusted with the information they provided. LOL so what if LO is wrong and it wasn't that kid? Or what if the parents think that daycare told you? I would just leave it be.

My LO had her first run in with biting at school today (she was bit twice by the same kiddo). The director didn't tell me who did it, just that it happened (policy). My LO told me as soon as we got in the car.

Should I casually mention something to parents? I know they already know of the situation, but I almost want to reach out as a "a it's totally okay! This is a phase, and there's nothing to worry about" gesture.

All of us families are very friendly (not really friends, but we do get the kids together outside of school hours sometimes).

So, should I mention it? Or, just don't say anything? Maybe they're just hoping my LO doesn't tell me it was their kid, haha. Or, for those of you on the other side, maybe they don't even know who their child bit?
