He is 28 months old now. He has reactive airway disease from a horrible bout of RSV that basically scarred his lungs. We read books when it’s time for the nebby and use the mask. He cried a few times but they get used to it quickly. He has pulmicort (budesonide) daily and levalbuterol as needed for acute wheezing. The nebby has been instrumental for us in managing his respiratory issues and I’m so glad we have it. Also, he has improved so much as he’s gotten older and we are hoping to wean him off by the summer! Good luck! So its not much of a big deal. My nephew more so than my niece. A few tips we heard. One was that if they are screaming and crying during the treatment thats not always a bad thing because they are taking in a lot of the medicine (breathing deeply). We also did treatments when she would go down to sleep. One of us would go into her room and held it to her as she slept. My baby is sick AGAIN! ugh I feel awful when she is sick. She has cough, sneezing and congestion about a month ago, and now she has the same thing again, if not worse. The doctor gave us a nebulizer for us to take to her daycare and she wants them to use it every few hours. I had asthma as a child, although its much better now and having to use a nebulizer on my baby reminds me of my childhood. I am really hoping that my baby doesnt have or develop asthma. </p>
