We live in an apartment so it doesn't let her outside but obviously we don't want her wandering the building either. We are not allowed to add a chain/or bolt. We have a bi-level house. We took down the baby gates as she figured out how to get those open. My husband works a different shift, so I can't lock him out with a chain or bolt. If you have the doors on a different floor, I would look at baby gates that lock for the stairs OR a doorbell chime extender (if basically broadcasts the bell upstairs). We've talked about her about not touching the locks, but I still worry. Especially at night time, what if she tries to go outside?
