Montessori education and childcare can be wonderful, but it's more of a parenting philosophy than just a daycare center. I'd do some research on Montessori programs and see if it's something that appeals to you.

Aside from that aspect, I think daycare can be a great opportunity to socialize and learn new skills. But you might want to balance that against increased exposure to germs and less individualized attention.

My lo will be 1 in February and we'd like to get childcare for her twice a week for 3-4 hours. We were originally thinking a babysitter at our house. I ran across a Montessori center that seems reasonable for 12 hours a week it's 345/month. I don't know anything about Montessori but I'd like her to learn and play with other kids. My husband is nervous about leaving her somewhere. What do you guys think? I'm not sure we could even get a babysitter for that price and I think she'd like to get out of the house!
