DH and I took a road trip there a few years ago and loved it! We stayed on the Isle of Palms, but went into Charleston to explore everyday. We got married there during that time of year. It's after the much busier summer months, but there are still a few people around in September/October. It's a far cry from mtvs jersey shore. We live in CT and were thinking about hitting Charleston SC in September but haven't finalized anything yet. I'm still looking for that perfect spot. I spent 3 months on bed rest until I gave birth and 7 months later I am getting cabin fever. I need to leave the borders of my state! I know there are plenty of places in driving distance, Cape Cod, Jersey, Boston/NYC but am looking for recommendations on places you LOVE. DS is 7 months and DH and I are game for beach, mountains, city, anything really.</p> <p>ETA: suggestions are not limited to the new england area. </p>
