The thought was that the numbers might clearly tell me if things were going badly but of course they didn't. They rose from 5,470 at 5 weeks, 4 days to 22,116 at 6 weeks, 4 days so the waiting game continues. I'm scheduled for another ultrasound on Friday but I don't have a great feeling about this. I had a blighted ovum. My OB said doing betas wouldn't help because they can continue to rise even if nothing is there. I'm going through the same thing right now. My ultrasound at 6 weeks and 4 days showed just an empty gestational sac. They did another blood test and told me to wait another week to come in for an ultrasound (we were either too early or it's a blighted ovum).
