Robeez and then SKR smaller. You can order robeez on amazon and return the sizes you don't want but make sure it's prime shipping or you'll pay for returns.

I was wondering the same thing. Smallers don't work for LO 2's narrow feet so I will check out Robeez!

ETA- just bought these!

We do robeez (soft soles) now fory pre walker. The regular style (sort of mocassins or loafer looking) are the only ones that stay on her fat feet. Even the adorable t strap robeez I got her fall off.

DS currently wear Stride Rite due to his fat and wide hamburger patty feet. lol. Plus, the pedi recommended this brand since they measure the feet to find the right size. He was in pedipeds before, but the bottom is so slick, he couldn't even stand up!

Another vote for Robeez. He wore those for a month or so until the daycare told us to get better shoes for walking around the neighborhood. After that, I generally buy Stride Rite shoes. They're worth the money.

M wore robeez when she was learning to walk. They held up fine outdoors. She wears sketchers now that she's sturdier! She still wears robeez indoors at daycare and sometimes home too.

ETA: I ordered these on-line and wasn't able to try before I bought them, but they have size info, so I was able to measure Xander's foot length to determine what size to get.

When we get home from vacation in about a week, Fiona is switching rooms from the 0-9m room to the 9-18m room. In her old room i would just send her in with socks or bare foot.

Now that she is getting more mobile and switching rooms they ask that she at least have shoes to wear for part of the day because they take the kids outside and work hard to get them walking (if their not already). They also have water time one day a week where they play with water tables, sprinklers, baby pools, etc.

I need recommendations for shoes/brands that are light weight for summer, and that will hold up and are good for early walkers. I would prefer if i could try before i buy as i have no idea what size to get for her as she can still fit in shoes meant for 3-6m (from childrens place). Most of the shoes i see, look cute but dont seem functional. TIA
