They had a back room, didn't charge a room fee, just food. We were allowed to bring our own cake. It was great!<br /> I would definitely check out local restaurants and see if they have a big table, corner or room. It's in February and while I would have loved a simple picnic in the park, it's probably not a good idea with the cold weather (we live in NYC). Any suggestions for birthday party location in NYC that won't break the bank? It can be Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island or nearby Jersey. Am I stuck with just party stores? I'd love to just rent a cheap community room and decorate it myself. </p>
