We have our boy name picked out: John Douglas. We actually wanted Douglas as the first name, but Douglas John just doesn't flow (and Jonathan is not an option). We don't want to call our kid John from day to day, though! </p> <p>We considered calling the future LO by his middle name (we both know quite a few people who go by their middle name) since that's the name we like better.</p> <p>We also like J.D. OH's dad loves this nickname. He's a musician, and one of his former bands was called "J.D. and the something or others." I forget what the something or others actually were :grin: </p> <p>Finally, Jack. Jack feels classic to me. But-- we have a slightly Jack Daniels themed kitchen, and I really don't want people to think we named our kid after whiskey!</p> <p>Oh, if it makes any difference-- last name sounds like Rottweiler. </p>
