I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant and we haven't even told our parents yet. We've told a couple of our closest friends and made sure they knew that it was still a SECRET and to not tell anyone.</p> <p>I have these other two friends. I used to be BEST FRIENDS with the girl - we were both each others' maids of honor in our weddings, but lately we're not quite as close to them as we used to be. I had wanted to tell them (her and her husband) that I were pregnant, but I haven't had an opportunity to be alone with them since the BFP.</p> <p>Well, the last time I hung out with them, I turned down a glass of wine, so the husband kept talking about how he thinks I'm pregnant and then "joked" about pushing me down the stairs (because he's anti-babies). That really put me in a bad mood, so now I don't want to tell them until we tell the whole world.</p> <p>Sorry this is so long, but here's my situation. We're spending the weekend with them this weekend. His family has a cottage by the beach, so we're going there and hanging out at the beach. Now, I'm SURE there will be drinking at SOME point during the weekend, and I'm worried that when I refuse a drink again, the open speculation will happen again! I'm trying to come up with some sort of "come-back" that I can say that's not a confirmation of pregnancy OR a blatant lie. Will you help me with my wording??</p> <p>I currently have this: "For your information, we've been trying to get pregnant since January, so I'd appreciate if you didn't bring it up."</p> <p>But I wasn't sure if saying "we've been trying" is a lie, since we're not trying anymore. Any help with how to deal with these people would be appreciated!!! </p>
