We mentioned to LO's pediatrician that she couldn't really turn her head from side to side or lay back on it (always looked one way or another while laying). She wasn't concerned so we never did anything further. </p> <p>I shouldn't have said in my original comment that she could "never" lay back on it. But I'm no doctor. My dd had a pretty flat head but it turned out the helmets most likely wouldn't have helped that spot (according to the neurologist we had to see), so you just never know. And then when we just saw her on Thursday she said he woukd need surgery to fix it. Could be something like sagittal synostosis. My LO had a similar looking skull and they did an ultrasound to rule out the synostosis. On closer inspection of my husband's head, his skull is a bit long and narrow so LO just inherited the shape.
