@travellingbee: We have used this tub for over a year and love it - it has a saddle in it that helps the baby sit up and not fall over and uses much less water than a regular tub. At 21 months my son doesn't need the saddle, but the inflatable tub makes it comfy for him to lay back and sprawl out like he's at the spa.

I would just take a shower and hold DD while I washed her and then handed her to DH when she was clean. The sink is another great option!

Thanks for the suggestions. We don't have a traditional baby tub- it's really more like a sling that makes them recline. I might have to get a foam bath mat.

I just finished giving the twins a bath and we are still using our infant bath (4moms) with foam cushion. Both sat up when I put them in the infant tub (it was because the back of the foam mat was still cold). Anyway, it worked, I was able to wash their backs. I did end up wetting the back foam and they laid back down to finish the rest of their bath.

You could buy a foam mat (from Amazon) and it might help them sit while using your infant tub still.

We used this at that age: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0018Z8CN8?pc_redir=T1

He can recline when you need him him to and when he's ready he can sit up.

We got a cushiony non slip mat to put in the tub while they are still unsteady from Bed Bath & Beyond, it's so easy!

I bathed LO in the kitchen sink at that age so she really didn't have the space to tip into the water. Once she was a very confident sitter we moved to the tub. I had a little bathmat I put in the sink.

Just let him sit in the baby bath? As long the bottom isn't too slippery and you're right there he should be fine!

I would only put a couple inches of water in the bathtub, then put a large hand towel on the bottom and he would sit on that. I felt like it kept him a bit more steady. I would either sit on the edge of the bath tub with my feet in or kneel and lean over. Baths at that age were pretty quick for us.

My five-month-old hates the baby bath- he is a fairly steady sitter and only wants to be sitting in the bath. However I don't feel comfortable enough with his sitting skills to put him in the bath by himself. He doesn't like laying down in his baby bath and I have been getting in the bath with him. But I'm wondering if someone has another idea since it's a pain to have to get in the bath every time I want to give him a bath. I had seen these bath ring things at one point that you could sit baby in but apparently they have been recalled. Any other life hacks for this situation? What do y'all use?
