You would have to pay for luggage type carry on...... They only allow backpacks, totes, dufffles etc for free. Most spirit airports have a sizer and they make you put your carry on in the sizer to determine if its free or if it costs money.</p> <p>If its too big and you have to pay, it's way more $$$ at the airport vs online.<br /> Note they also charge for water....</p> <p>I've traveled spirit 30+ times in the past few years, and once with LO. I'm flying out on a Friday and coming back on a Sunday (2.5 hr flight). The only flight available is on Spirit Air. I'll be flying with my parents, so that's going to be a big help.</p> <p>The problem is, Spirit charges ($35 each flight) for carry-on bags. They will allow ONE carry on item for free, if it is 16x12x14. So here's my dilemma.... I have one large diaper bag that measures 16x12x5, or I have a regular rolling luggage. If I use the diaper bag, I can keep it with me at all times and have access to everything but it might not be big enough for my clothes, DD's clothes, her blanket, toys and diapers. But if I use the rolling luggage, it will have to be stowed overhead, and that will be a pain to get in and out of the whole flight. </p>
