Eat clean... It's the biggest secret out there yet it's no surprise. People just have a hard time sticking to it or understanding what clean really means.

Eat six times a day. You will always feel full but never bloated and you'll feel satisfied because you're constantly eating. Your stomach will really feel flat if you feed yourself clean, unprocessed food and the weight does slip off. You have to be consistent and not overeat however and just tell yourself you have no other option but to eat these same "boring" foods over and over again! Eventually you'll get the hang of it and you'll be able to figure out what other foods qualify as "clean", and you'll expand your menu of foods.

Some things to eat:
- salad with grilled chicken, add in some avocado, nuts, boiled eggs. Simple balsamic, not even olive oil.
- grilled fish with plain steamed veggies: asparagus, broccoli.
- omelette: one whole egg, two egg whites, chopped peppers and spinach.
-Greek yogurt with fruit - half a banana, or grapefruit, cacao powder
- handful of almonds couple of times a day (careful with this one, so easy to over eat)
- apple slices or carrot sticks with natural peanut butter (2 tbsp max)
- boiled eggs x2
- sweet potato
- protein shakes. A favorite recipe of mine is vega protein vanilla powder, 1 scoop. 1 cup coconut or almond milk. 1/2 cup Greek yogurt. 2 tbsp coconut cream (healthy fat). 1 banana. Spinach optional.
- Lara bar, kind bar, or quest bar when you're in a hurry.

Tips...
-always always always plan what you'll eat in advance, especially if you're going out. Don't even look at the menu other than the salad section or just ask for all your food plain, steamed, no oil, chicken/fish and veggies only.
-eat as much protein as possible
-just stay away from processed foods - nothing packaged, no pasta, no breads of any kind (maybe Ezekiel or Udi's a couple of times a week).
-no carbs, no sugar, no alcohol, limit dairy to fat free and Greek yogurt only
-no cheese, no sauce, no oils, etc. season food only with balsamic, salt and pepper, cayenne pepper, hot sauce without sugar
- eat six small meals everyday
- drink water all day, and teas.
- do you have instagram?? There are so many people with clean meal inspiration. Just do a hash tag search

If you eat like this for 5 days you'll notice a significant difference. And you aren't depriving yourself of food - just changing what you put into it. You'll never be hungry, but cravings are a different story. Obviously it's all a mind game but after a few days (it takes incredible patience) your body stops craving sugar, refined carbs, etc. You won't feel bloated or gross and that will help you stay motivated to continue. Of course we all have our indulgent meals here and there, but really try to be strict on yourself.

Agree with the PP... Skip the 1 hour cardio and try just 30 minutes of HIIT. Also look up blogilates on YouTube for amaaaazing home workouts. All you need is a mat.

The above sounds impossible at first, but once you start feeding yourself really clean food...you have so much energy and those cravings just stop. Good luck!!! Keep a food diary! Myfitnesspal app is great.

@MaisyMay: Also, cut out salt. For workouts, I think doing circuit training or HIIT (high intensity interval training) type workouts will get you the fastest results. I recommend doing something on the treadmill like...

10 minutes at 5-6 mph (jogging to get your heartrate up)
1 minute sprint (9 mph)
1 minute walk (3 mph)
1 minute sprint (9 mph)
and so on until you get to 20 min.

Or do the Jillian Michaels 30-day shred for the next two months!

@Mrs. High Heels: I'm really limiting them and making sure to pair them with protein.

HELP!!!

At work, 6 of us ladies are doing a weight loss challenge. We're all putting in $50 and whomever loses the most weight in 2 months wins the pot.

The health aspects are awesome, but even better is the money!

Any advice? Starting tomorrow I am going back on my strict diabetic diet, and walking with LO when I get home early enough.
