He rarely barks, and we never hear barking from neighbors. Just depends on the dogs. I'm sure they were asleep and didn't notice. Last year I was complaining about it to our neighbor (I suspect it's one of her dogs) and she told me they don't hear anything at night because they have a huge noisy fan in their bedroom and she wears earplugs. We have a problem with one of our neighbors as well. DH and I have both gone over there twice and called the cops once. He actually went over there at midnight last night because of it and told the lady that it has to stop. She responded with "oh, I didn't even notice - I was asleep until you woke me up".......... </p> <p>Is there something in your HOA bylaws against barking dogs? Maybe even make a complaint to the police? Ours has been going on for over 2 months now and it's ridiculous. The owners let the dogs out for a long time in the backyard and they just bark away. It hasn't been resolved so I don't have any advice.... It's a big, deep, loud bark and it's incessant and driving me crazy, 1.5 hours of barking stinks. LO and Dh are sound asleep though. I can't help but wonder why the owners aren't stopping it. Just venting ;) </p>
