The ground around an outdoor pool is exposed to the elements in addition to being cleaned. I read through Mr.Bee's public vs private post and realized this may be confusing. Our neighborhood pool is private to just our neighbors. The pool I grew up in was members only. I have never been in a truly public pool where you don't have to be a member to swim in it... We've talked about going a few times since it opened but it's been super busy. I think it opened last month.</p> <p>Lucky for us, there are pools on post available to us. We took DS swimming for the first time last weekend. It was an indoor, olympic size pool which was great.
