Please please call your local animal control services and report what you saw. I would write a letter and keep a copy, and follow up to confirm that they are investigating. That's BS not just that your dog got attacked but that the other dog got beat afterwards. I've been known to make a dog sniff their poop if they poo in the house &amp; tap them on the nose. But when we walked past their house the dog flew off his leash and went for my dog, snarling. She got so scared that she slipped off her collar and he chased her down the street and I thought I was going to lose it when I saw a car come across a blind curve and almost hit her. </p> <p>The other dog ended up cornering her in some bushes and I finally found my dog waiting in front of my next door neighbor's house. I don't even know what was sadder...the whole incident, or what I saw afterward. The other dog's owner started beating him! And I found out his name is Slugger. I picked up my dog and started kissing her and felt bad for both her and the other dog. But I'm also mad because we shouldn't have to avoid going out because my neighbor sets up a bad situation. </p>
