I procrastinated for a few months (there was always some reason why I should wait one more month) and then we procrastinated actually trying for a few months after that. I also was freaked out about the upheaval of a baby the entire time I was pregnant, even right up until I was shuffling into the OR. I work in a gyn clinic and see them go in and out on a daily basis. I am worried about getting menstrual migraines and heavy, painful periods again. I am both hopeful and terrified that I might get pregnant right away. If I get preggers right out of the gate, I wouldn't have to experience having periods again, and hey, it worked! The removal ended up being as easy as they said it would be. I do get cold feet sometimes, wonder if we're ready to give up all the things we will need to. I know it will be tough but I don't think we will be more ready then we are now. I definitely had cold feet in December, knowing that it was my last round of BCP! But honestly, I have no control over when we will actually have a kid (could get BFP next month, next year, maybe there are issues, etc). Or rather, we were planning to start a few months ago, but, I keep putting off actually getting my IUD removed. </p> <p>In practical ways we're as ready as we're going to be able to get in any reasonable timeframe. We both want to have a kid soon. We're not getting any younger. But, I'm very anxious about the general upheaval in my life and in my career that being pregnant and having a baby will have.</p> <p>How did you feel when you pulled the goalie?
